MySchoolNotebook was founded in March of 2010. The application was designed to provide students with a convenient way to store and share their notes. A handful of features have made MySchoolNotebook an appealing choice for many students. The application has been mentioned on numerous websites, primarily education-related blogs and sites that boast the application’s user friendly design. Some mention that the Facebook only access is limiting for anyone who doesn’t use or wish to share their Facebook profile.
MySchoolNotes isn’t breaking any barriers with its features list, but it does offer an attractive collection of tools to students. The ability to use the application when not connected to the web is one of the shining gems in MySchoolNotebook’s offerings. The user can store notes during class, regardless of whether an internet connection is available. Other features included may be simple, but they are very appealing to anyone who is taking a class.
MySchoolNotebook provides a clean, elegant interface that is very easy to use. The use doesn’t have to spend more time and mind power trying to figure out the application. The interface is organized and lets the user navigate quickly, which can help reduce study time and allow the user to take notes quickly with minimal effort (aside from that required by the course they are taking). The interface is colorful, but in a way that remains handsome and user friendly.
A new user can join the MySchoolNotebook community by clicking the large blue “Sign In via Facebook” button found near the center of the homepage (inside the green chalk board). The user is directed to the Facebook login area. After signing in and giving the application permission to access the profile, the user is automatically signed in and can begin using MySchoolNotebook. No alternative login option is offered at this time.
MySchoolNotebook offers two subscription options, both of which are very economical. Students can try the free plan which includes access to a limited number of notebooks, mobile applications, notebook sharing tools and offline access. The Premium Plan costs $2 per month and includes unlimited notebooks, file storage, drawing to notes function and the ability to print and export notes. Mobile versions are available at no additional cost.
MySchoolNotebook is a great application for anyone who is taking a class or needs to save notes. The user can organize notes into virtual notebooks and add drawings or charts. Two subscription options are available for nothing or next to nothing. Users can also work on notes when offline and share notes with others online. The application offers many attractive features without bombarding the user with tools they don’t need that clutter the interface.
